I’ve decided to start a brand new series called Blissful Moments. In these posts I will share what I think are blissful moments that happen in my everyday life. I’m not sure how often I’m going to post Blissful Moments. Maybe once a week. Maybe once a month. I’m not always very good at remembering to take photos so we’ll see how this project goes, ha!
The series is meant to inspire you, to show you that life is really about the small moments in your daily life, and it’s a chance for you to get to know me a bit better. As you might have noticed I’m not much of a social media person. I don’t really use Instagram. Like at all. I love blog posts, newsletters, books, podcasts, Pinterest… These also happen to be platforms where I personally feel that you get a chance to know someone on a deeper level.
So without further ado, let’s take at some Blissful Moments from the last week or so. I’ve been in Copenhagen for the last week visiting friends and my sister. Also, please don’t judge my photo skills. This is a skill I very much have to learn as I know absolutely nothing about photography (as you can see, haha).
As you can see I’m really enjoying knitting! I only just started knitting, but I already love it. Honestly it’s so cozy! My mom has always been knitting a lot, and she is amazing! I have so many sweaters that are about a million times more beautiful than the sweaters you buy in stores. Thank you, mom! As you can see I already finished my first hat (I’m currently knitting my second!).
Don’t I just look so happy about my new hat? It’s not perfect but I love it, and I’ve been wearing it every day since I finished it.
I’ve also been working from the couch with lots of coffee and tea. Ah, it feels so good. Sometimes I love working on the couch with a show in the background, other times going to a café feels like the best thing ever, sometimes I like having music or a podcast playing in the background and other times I just like total quiet.
One of my goals for 2022 is reading one book a month, and in January I’m re-reading Intuitive Eating. If you are interested in Intuitive Eating this is the book to read. It is AMAZING! Such a good read. I’ll do a full blog post about it once I’m done reading it.
Lately, I have been enjoying cooking and baking so much! I used to love cooking when I was younger, but after I had a boyfriend who passed away in 2016 (that’s a story for another time), I kind of lost all interest in cooking and baking. However, it’s slowly coming back! I made these beautiful rolls at my sister’s place the other day. Yum!
The other day one of my best friend and I went to Gilleleje and Hornbæk. This was such a good day! We had a lovely breakfast in Gilleleje, and we then went for a walk in Heathers Hills (so beautiful), and then we ended the day in Hornbæk for a late lunch and a little walk. If you are ever in the area you should absolutely visit Gilleleje and Hornbæk. I personally like Gilleleje the most, but the beach in Hornbæk is stunning!
Alright, so that’s a wrap! Generally the last week has just been really blissful. I love spending time with my family and friends, and I love being a bit of a nomad. Probably also why I want to go traveling in the spring and I ended my lease for my apartment. One day I do want a base, but for now I don’t know where that should be. I’m not even sure if it’ll be in Denmark. We will see. For now traveling is the right thing for me to do, and seeing as I can do all my work remotely now is the perfect time! And one day when I do find a more permanent home I know it will be a place I really love.
I hope you like this series.
